Shuar v Gringo

I was so happy when Liv and Chad came back from Iirshim (apparently the correct spelling is with 2 i´s) !! It was like we had been apart for months!  I wish I went with them because they seem to have had so much fun. They climbed down a waterfall on a freaking rope!
In the afternoon on Saturday, Enrique told us that we would play some games to celebrate the Ecuadorian carnaval, which takes place in the big cities around Ecuador. Around 3pm, he came over to our house with his hands full of red pigment from a tree which they use for face paint and smothered us with it! Then we went over to his parents house and war was on!!! Shuar vs Gringo! Huge bowls of water were thrown, bottles were filled with the red pigment and water! It was so much fun and I don´t even care that parts of my body are still stained orange and my white bra and tank top are now orange!!
Today we came into Puyo to have some good food, use the internet and wash our moldy clothes. It is so hot right now! It is insane!


Samedi, on a fete le carnaval a Arutam. Enrique est venu nous chercher de notre maison avec les mains remplies d´une peinture qui vient d´un arbre. Il nous a couvert de cette peinture rouge orange. Mon debardeur blanc nést plus blanc! Ensuite on est allez chez ces parents ou on a fait la guerre: Shuar vs Gringos! Batailles d´eau et de peinture! C´etait tres drole et je m´enfou meme que quelques parties de mon corps sont toujours orange meme apres 3 douches!
Aujourd´hui on est a Puyo pour MANGER, utiliser internet et laver nos habits pourris! Je quitte la jungle Mardi pour encore plus d´aventures a travers l´Amerique Latine...
