First impressions of Peru..

Just a quick message to say I arrived safely in Chiclayo, northern Peru, and to give you a few first impressions I and Liv have had:

- The 9 hour bus journey to Piura was probably the most uncomfortable and hot I have ever been. Sorry Emma-Jane but it was hell! Crossing the boarder was fun though!

- Peruvians speak very differently to Ecuadorians and it´s really hard to understand them.

- I miss Ecuador!

- The taxi driver was very strange and thought it was hilarious that we want to stay in a hostal by the beach, because apparently it´s dangerous there. So we asked him to take us back to town and now we are in such a crappy hostal. I am writing from a computer from the 1990´s.

- I hardly ate today because of the trip. Shocking considering all I have eaten in the past few weeks. I feel a bit sick too, probably just the tiredness.

I´ll write back tomorrow with more details because right now I am so home sick and want to go back to Ecuador. Night night x

  1. Chin up, Angélique! Why don't you go to the Home for Retired Bears when you get to Lima and try to find any relatives of "Pastuso"...Yes, this is Paddington Bear's real name!!
Explain this to me: You are homesick, so you want to go back to Ecuador...Doesn't really follow, does it?
The food, my dear...go for it and you will feel a lot better! It sounds all so fantastic.
    Speak to you soon.

At least its not the old typewriters. Was brought one in today by one of the old people when I was doing my voluntary work and they are quite difficult to use. lol. Hope your ok now Angelique. Take care and speak soon. x x
