ReplyDeleteBuenos Dias Angelique
ReplyDeleteYou are become my Phineas Fogg (Around the World in 80 Days)although fortunately you are an attractive young female whereas Phineas was far removed from such grace. By the way, Clare was right, your hair looks marvellous. Who's your stylist?
Sorry I've been remiss about contact but have been busy in and out of work and, I must admit, I forgot for a few days too.
Your photos are wonderful, love 'em, especially the Brazil/Argentina border falls. Stunning.
I also liked Adele, she seemed like a nice bird umm sorry, butterfly. Shame about the miserable bastard in the cemetery. Bet his name was Diego Maradona, he was a bloke who liked to use his hands. (Ask Papa about the Hand of God). Anyway, glad you're safe. One would think one would be quite safe in a cemetery seeing as all the inhabitants are supposed to be dead. No offence to those who are!
Will you be seeing Liv again or have your respective paths taken different directions? Not just me who is asking, one or two young bucks here who are literally crestfallen now that Liv has headed off. Said I'd ask if she'd be back. The guys also liked your hair. They're all in their 20s and full of testosterone. I've forgotten what that is.
Damn, just dropped my sandwich into my keyboard. Ever seen a corned beef and tomato keyboard? Never mind, I have a small blowpipe that will do the job.
This weekend is the last bank holiday before August. A nice three days off and then next Thursday I take a choo-choo train down to Herefordshire to spend a week with my mother which is always fun. She is a very modern 87 year-old but she'll be horrified to hear of Jacques & Helen's youngest daughter travelling thru' South America. I shall have to add the information that you have a handgun and are an exponent of the martial arts - a real man-slayer! Don't worry, she takes everything I say with a pinch of salt as do most other people these days! I was going to ask where do you head after the land of silver but I'll find out simply by logging on each day. Understand about your friend Michael leaving a gap behind after his return to Australia. It's one of the few drawbacks of travelling. One meets a group who become soulmates for the period spent together but it's a wrench when they begin to leave and return to wherever. Time heals everything, as they say.
I notice everyone sends you brief messages. Am I supposed to do the same? I'm never short of conversation even if it is bullshit. Well, not always.
Hope you are back among friends soon and your travels continue joyously. You're looking good for someone who's been travelling for a couple of months, more even. I fancy this trip will leave you with the travel bug. I won't mention the subject of work...
Be happy, be safe. We're all watching your pilgrim's progress.
lotsa' love
Brian
Good morning Angelique
ReplyDeleteJust a quick note as I forgot to ask about Argentinian goats. They are noticeable by their absence. Don't tell me, they too are dark featured with brown eyes and black hair. No problem there's no pictures of them, I have a wonderful imagination.
Just wanted to wish you good days ahead but before I go it seems like a day of mourning here as some of the guys are upset by Liv's departure. This is not to say they haven't noticed you but because they know you are a friend of mine they're very careful what they say when they look at your photos. We've now a couple of our marketing people crossing the floor to come see you and Liv. I don't beckon them over to my screen, they seem to have a code that runs from one to another and onward 'the old guy is talking to the girls in South America'. No peace for the older amongst us. I'm not the most dynamic in this computer age, takes me a while but I found some of your earlier shots whilst looking for your Patagonian visit. Great stuff. Marvellous trip, I'm really into it. And I've got Papa's running commentary on various aspects of places you visit. Anyway, just kicking off my working days. Will hopefully speak to you next week before going down to visit Mom. Have a great weekend. I sent my guardian angel to look after you. In truth, I think she was getting bored as I no longer indulge all my naughty habits of years gone by. Take care.
