Last day in Mejico ..

Yesterday was my last day in Mexico so I decided to visit Tulum, a couple of hours south of Cancun. I took a bus and it started pouring with rain and there I was in my summer dress and sandals! Luckily as I arrived the skies cleared. My reason for coming to Tulum was to visit the much talked about ruins. The ruins in themselves are not all that impressive, it's more the location of them which is absolutely amazing. The Mayan ruins are located along some short cliffs on the beach and as you approach the coast, the jade waters and white sands come into view. It is absolutely magnificent! Something you would only see in movies! After visiting the ruins I spent an hour or so on the beach.
I made my way back to Cancun by 6pm, grabbed something to eat and relaxed in my hostel for the evening. It was pouring with rain when I woke up so hopefully I won't have any problems with my flight to New York this afternoon.
